your wedding day

Your wedding day is as unique as you are — this special celebration is a chance for you to express your style and individuality. Whether you are planning a Christian, Jewish, interfaith, non-denominational, traditional or non-traditional ceremony, we have the repertoire, experience and versatility to tailor a program which reflects who you are as you begin your new life together as a couple.

Music plays a vital part in your celebration and the choice can be overwhelming — piano, strings, organ, harp, guitar — how do you decide? We suggest that you listen to music — go to concerts where you can really hear and see different instruments closely, listen on the web, play CDs — and imagine your wedding and especially yourself walking down the aisle. Does the music you’re hearing fit with the ambience you’re envisioning? You’ll be surprised just how quickly the right style for you will emerge!

If you decide to book strings, whom do you choose?

When you book The Arundel Ensemble for your event, you can rest assured knowing that the finest professional musicians in central Texas will be playing for you and that your event will be handled with the utmost respect. We have performed for hundreds of weddings and are committed to ensuring that your music will not only enhance but help create the atmosphere you desire – and of course that the music selections you choose will be performed exquisitely. While many brides have always dreamed of walking down the aisle to Pachelbel’s Canon or the Trumpet Voluntary, and many brides may indeed choose these pieces, we do not take a cookie-cutter approach to your music – you are assured of receiving personal service in the music selection process as Margaret works with you to select the perfect pieces for your ceremony, from traditional classical to tangos – and even rock!

Also, although we play music every day, we know that most people do not hire live musicians very frequently, thus your event will never be referred to as “just another wedding” – or even worse, “a gig.” This approach results in a palpable difference in quality that everyone notices and hears.

The sample programs provided here are just that — samples from recent ceremonies we performed so you can see how differently five of our brides approached their music and also how the same pieces can have different functions within different ceremonies. The first bride chose music that tended to have a fast tempo that created a very festive air, the second chose quite traditional music, the third preferred more tranquil selections and the fourth shirked all traditions and chose a program unabashedly her own which reflected her eclectic background. Our modern bride decided she and her fiance wanted contemporary selections to reflect the music they both love (soundbites for this one added soon!) Click on the titles to listen:
